YouTube Owes Avril Lavigne $2M

YouTube might owe 23-year-old singer, Avril Lavigne, $2 million. Her fans have artificially inflated the plays on her video, “Girlfriend” making it the #1 video of all-time with 93 million views. The fans have come together and used a constantly refreshing website that adds one pageview every 15 seconds to her video. YouTube has said, “We have safeguards in place that limit the efficiency of this type of behaviors, to make sure that advertising campaigns running on YouTube only reach legitimate viewers and are in no way affected by inflated view counts of gaming activities.”

I wish I had that many fans that wanted me to make more money. I don’t think I even have fans. I bet that there is four people reading this site. My boss, cause he likes to know what I’m up to…my mom, cause she feels like this is a ‘window into my life’ (…it’s not)…my sister, just cause she likes this stuff (…perhaps my only real fan?)…and that one other person in the world that watches the same combination of reality TV shows that I post. I am totally down for YouTube or even AdBrite owing me $2 million. I would even be willing to take a little less…I’d probably settle for maybe $1 million. Then I could lay in bed all the time. I wish I could live my life from my bed. Enjoy the pics of Avril and her hubby, Derek going to dinner. Derek looks like a hedge-hog and I am not sure how I feel about it.
