CHICAGO (AP) - Jennifer Hudson was one of seven family members and close friends who cried and held hands as they identified her nephew’s body from a live image on a TV screen at the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office. Like his grandmother and uncle, the seven-year-old boy had been shot. His body was found yesterday(10/27) in an SUV parked ten miles from the house where Hudson’s mother and brother were found murdered on Friday. An autopsy on the boy’s body
is planned for today(10/28). A spokesman for the county says “Miss Hudson wanted to request privacy. This is a very trying time for her and her family.” Hudson’s aunt, Dorothy Hudson, says the Chicago funeral home she owns with her husband will handle arrangements for the family, but details were pending. She says “we’re just sad. We’re going through this stage where we’re just sad and in shock.”
