   I cannot believe that jon and kate, who got handouts and state heating assistance just a few years ago, just bought an estate like this.
   what about the love gifts they took, looks like they are a couple of scam artists that simply milk people then look down their noses at them.
   Mommy Dearest Kate will have a long way to drive out of that KONpound when her kids get old enough and leave her booty in her mansion and finally have a life not controlled by their ocd mother.
   I do not begrudge anyone of making their lives better, but something is inherently wrong with a couple that have no income from honest work, but have enough money to buy a million plus house.
   J and K need to really tell the kids thanks for making them rich.

   I started watching this show when the kids were babies and jon and kate were still a couple without fake tans and attitudes from hell.
   At first the show was interesting, all about the daily routine with 8kids.
   Now it is a farse. all you see is their vacations that cost lots and lots of money that they get from tlc, or maybe tlc pays for their whole lifestyle….at any rate, I quit watching it after the vacation at the beach house. It is nothing but “look at us, aren’t we better than you?”.
   Kate is getting crazier than her hair, and jon is just in a fog of money grubbing without working for a living.
   SAD it is.

   I had to watch the new question & answer show today Jan 19 09 out of curiosity and both Jon & Kate said the only jobs they have is the show and Kate writing a book every once in awhile.

   Remember on an earlier show Kate did say quote “The show is their life and their life is the show”.
   Very telling IMO.

   So in essence they are really saying the KIDS will be the ones supporting them especially now they shelled out $1,120.000 dollars for this home and then a condo in Park City Utah of which Jon gave an interview about it for Park City TV as he was there again by himself.

   so NO they didn’t move to NC as some speculated.

   What was interesting is that they involved the crew of the show and they were given questions to answer.

   Alex their very cute sound guy said the shows are taped “LIVE” and what we see is what actually happens.

   The only thing thats really edited in, are the words the kids say when others cant understand them or when whispering.

   So what we all see on TV IS whats really going on.

   So Kate really does have Jons balls in a vice.

    I used to love Jon and Kate’s show, when they were simple people. Now that they bought this $1.1 million dollar estate, with the money from this hit show and the sell of their book, I won’t be watching anymore. I guess having a hit reality show really does pay off. The Roloffs from “Little People Big World,” remodled their house too. (Although I like Matt and Amy alot better than Jon and Kate.) Actually, I like Jon, but not snotty Kate. What about Aunt Jody? I lost all respect of Kate when she had that fall out with Aunt Jody.

    Poor Kate no privacy for 4 years, but you exploit your children on national television so they can buy you a bedroom that they are never allowed to step foot in. Where is their privacy?? I am certain that when they are old enough to realize what you have done to them and how you have robbed them of a normal childhood for a few bucks they will resent you. They have no friends to learn how to properly socialize and interact with others. They have parents that stick them in timeout more often then they hug them.

    I use to love this show. But where is the reality in free fancy trips, free gifts and a gigantic house. I want to see the struggles they go through just to survive with all those kids. Things just seem to perfect. This is why I love Little People, Big World. You can see their ups and downs. With the Gosslins its only ups and that is not reality.

    First and foremost I think all of you with nasty comments about the Gosselins are simply jealous and RUDE! Try having 8 kids yourself. If you were offered a show by TLC you wouldn’t have EVEN consider it? I don’t believe it for a minute! You had a set of twins and were planning on one more and oopsie…now you have 6 more! You wouldn’t even consider it? You are LYING!!! I think its way better than some of these people out here on WIC that don’t want to work living on the system making excuses!     When they were driving up the drive-way to see the new house, Kate said that Leah said “Thank you mommie and daddy” and Kate said that is all she wanted to hear. I thought maybe Kate and Jon should be thanking their kids they would not be where they are without them. In a previous episode Kate said that their college is already paid for. What type of money do they receive from TLC? it has to be an enormous amount. Good for them in purchasing their new home, but the show almost seems fake now; it is not that fun to watch anymore. I bet they hire a house keeper and lawn keeper etc. there is no way the 2 of them can keep up with that big house and mowing the lawn, and taking care of the pool etc. The show will definitely not be the same.

    I agree with most people on this blog. Jon (needs to grow a pair) and Kate, OMG, she is just a hypocritcal woman that calls herself a Christian. Unbelievable. Their job is the SHOW. Remember the days where Jon had to go work, and Kate was freaked out taking care of them by herself. That is what made the show. Now tuning in will be, hmmm what vacation will they go on next? Their Hawaii wedding was a joke since NO ONE went to it. Kate seems to have alienated her entire family.

    Having one child in today’s society is hard enough, Jon and Kate have EIGHT. You over-opinionated “do-gooders” need to realize that if it means having a TV show to make ends meet and then some, regardless of whether or not at one time they did indeed have handouts, that they are humans too. Just as much as the next person, they need money…and if they’ve come out on top and can afford the comfort of a home like that and a few luxuries every now and then, so what. Get over it. They’re wonderful people and wonderful parents. They needn’t tell those children thank you for making them rich. Looking at it from a better perspective, those kids should tell them thank you for giving them life. Without Jon and Kate they wouldn’t even be here. First and foremost Jon and Kate are their parents…however they decide to raise them. Secondly, Jon and Kate brought them into this world, and they did not anticpate having SIX children at once after having had twins already, that’s just how the cards fell. I am extremely happy for their family, and anyone who isn’t is just an old Scrooge. Some of you people really just need to get over yourselves.

    Free Cosmetic Procedures…tummy tuck, hair transplant, teeth whitening

    Free Merchandise…Piano, clothes,toys, etc.

    They really must be just trying to survive. I mean, who could survive without all of those things.

    Get real people. Those kids did not look malnourished before they had a show and Jon and Kate could manage without it. Plenty of people have lots of kids, and they manage just fine. Kids don’t need all of that stuff to be happy and healthy. It is ridiculous. If they were really people of faith they would not live a life of excess. They would be doing more for others. Giving a few donations to St. Jude’s dosen’t make them saints. I pity the children’s lack of privacy. Their family has become the film crew because Kate has alienated their real family. How sad and shameful.
    They are surrounded by people that make money off of them. Remember…money does not equal happiness and giving your kids lots of material stuff doesn’t make you a good parent!

    My heart goes out to those children. I’ve seen every episode since the show first aired and I feel like I know these kids personally. I wish I could bring Aiden home with me ahaha.

    Anyways, I don’t care if Kate has 1 or 12 children, she needs to learn how to manage her stress better. If she had faith in her “Christian” beliefs then she would realize that the little things in life (i.e a moldy frige) shouldn’t be dwelled on like that. Come on seriously, like one person said if you can afford a million dollar home buy a friggin new one!!!!

    Jon and Kate and their family have been threw soo many things and im not mad at them for wanting to have that huge house so that their kids can have some extra space to run and so Kate likes to have her nails done. everyone deserves a little TLC for themselves and the reason why they recieved the free things is so that the companies and places that gave them those nice things could have TV time, so why not put them on blast? Kate deserved her tummy tuck after twins and sextuplets u would want one too, and Jon deserved his hair transplant he didnt want to look stupid on TV that was his TLC and their kids are in school so Kate obivously isnt going to be looking after them 24/7. they deserved their money they got and you dont know how many people give them donations and they give back the yard sale they had Kate and Jon let people pick their price, they may have changed some but they still want the same things everyone else wants for their kids to have enough place to play and relax and enough money to be able to get a good education. so jon doesnt have to work, if i had the money i probably wouldnt either and if you remember kate said the reason why they did the show was to show people their life and because they have 8 kids they want to videotape lots of things and cant because there is soo many of them. They are good people, Kate and Jon are the same people in my opinion, except that they have changed a little in appearance, be happy for them, dont hate them for being blessed God blesses everyone in different ways and this is the way he blessed them. if you had 8 kids 3 yrs apart you would want them to stay out of your room too, do you want 8 kids in your bed 24/7? i would tell them they cant come in their too, and just because the kids friends arent on the show doesnt mean that they dont have any. maybe their friends parents dont want them on the show so they dont show it

    I love John and Kate plus eight. They may not have conventional jobs like the rest of us, but either do actors, and you watch their movies!! Kate wrote a book, the family gave up their home to do the show. I don’t feel sorry for them, but it is putting food on the table and supporting the kids with whatever they need. Maybe the home is a mansion, but their are 10 people in the home, they need the space. Just think the doctor who lived their before only had a wife and himself living in it. Now that’s lavish! I think it’s great that these kids are having a great childhood and experiencing things they never would have before if it weren’t for the show. John and Kate are educated people and wouldn’t you want money rather than working paycheck to paycheck. Anyone would rather be doing television than working their ass off at a 9 to 5 job. Come on people put yourself in their shoes! Honestly! I would trade my home for that one. Money and a nice home doesn’t change who you are. And watching over the years Kate hasn’t changed a bit. And she teaches her kids morals and values, they don’t get everything they want. And either does John and Kate. They have a house that’s it.     At first, watching Jon & Kate it was a lot of fun and very entertaining, however, after some time a theme emerged, i.e., Kate’s aggressiveness toward Jon. It is not pretty at times and I feel very sorry for Jon. The kids are wonderful, except Mady whose temper needs to be reigned in. I love seeing how the kids are growing and maturing. They are adorable. Someone needs to have a talk with Kate and tell her to tone down her snappy, aggressive and disrespectful attitude toward Jon. To me, he is a saint for taking it. Hope they stay on T.V. I would love to see how the kids grow.

    All, I am friends with and have spoken to Aunt Jodi, and all I have to say is that any of you that think the show is real life, and that Jon and Kate are great parents, and are happy for them and the kids, then you all need a reality check. The kids are exploited, Jon and Kate have personal chefs, maids etc that you don’t see,,,,Kate only cleaned that fridge for the episode……. The children are the one’s that are suffering from irrespondible parents. Jodi and Kevin kept the kids ALOT more than what was shown on TV…..wonder why the cameras weren’t on all those other times???     Leave Jon and Kate alone. I would like to see some of you who have left nasty comments try and raise 8 kids with out ever raising your voice or having a disagreement with your husbands/wives. They have 8 kids that they are responsible for. Even with both of them working normal everyday jobs it would be difficult for them to make ends meet. So if doing a TV show makes ends meet, then ok by me. It’s better than living off tax payers. And think about it one day they are going to have 8 kids in college at the same time, so if doing a TV show now makes them big bucks, then so be it. They are a lot of expense in the future as well. The cost of those kids is only going to keep growing. As for the free stuff, what’s the problem? They get this stuff from companies and the company gets mentioned on the show. That’s called marketing/advertising. All of their kids are very young. It has to be stressful. Having one kid is stressful.     I don’t understand all the critizism about Kate. Imagine expecting sextuplets after ahving twins! Not sure where the next meal comes from and how they will ever be able to live normal lives. Then this show comes along and offers them things that will surely improve life for all of them. They ae able to see things nad travel to places they thought would never happen for them. So what if Kate is dressing nicer and has a tan! Should she just let herself fall apart? She still remains a wonderful mother and it’s apparent that she adores her kids. She is doing all she can to insure life memories for her family which without the show might not have been possible. Lots of moms are controlling, have ocd, tans, nice clothes, etc. Why shouldn’t she. She is an inspiration to a lot of people and should just ignore the ones who can’t see beyond their jealousy. Right now there is all this criticism about the mom of the octuplets.She doesn’t have a job and can’t support her 14 kids among other things. Which way would you rather have it? Kate is doing all ahe can to take care of her children so why don’t all you jealous people give it a rest and concertrate on your so called perfect mothering? None of you would refuse help if it was offered to you and you know it. I look forward to many more seasons of this wonder family!

    I think it is funny how they say at the beginning of every show how they decided to “try for just one more” child and had six instead. Ummm, Kate was a GYN nurse… and one thing that came out about the octomom is that if someone has successfully become pregnant they only implant two or three eggs at the most.

    I like to watch the show but didnt like it when at the yard sale kate was so mad when the people were late with the dirty tables and when she cleaned the huge fridge for four hours.     For those who complain about them having taken handouts in the past and being ungrateful for the money the show has given them are only judging and are no better than any other tabloid. If you would put yourself in their shoes for one minute you would do exactly as they have done and are hipocrites for claiming otherwise. There is very little parents of 8 young children can possibly do for work other than, say, a reality television show, and I commend them on finding a steady and decent living in their situation. This show has allowed these kids to have a normal life even though you all love to judge and claim it doesn’t- yes, if there were only 4 kids in the family the situation is different, but with 8 you couldn’t possibly bring them to the zoo without help/handouts, or go on a vacation- you would need 3-4 hotel rooms alone which no “working” family could afford for their kids without the income from the show/handouts form resorts. Having this show allows the kids to experience normal things- if you remember, in the past before the show had made them so much money, they couldn’t even leave the house form all the stress, exhaustion it took. And for those who judge them for earning a living which includes their children, you are wrong to say the kids make all the money and the parents are mooching off them! The show portrays Jon and Kate’s PARENTING. they are as much a part of the show as any child and how dare you start with child labor laws- that is just cruel overreactions of jealous, crazy activists who don’t consider the real situaiton. I admit Kate is controlling, but who wouldn’t be when you practically run a day care for a family and still want to ensure they don’t turn into spoiled brats like you see on SuperNanny, etc. THey have both done a fine job of raising their kids, providing a balance, and loving each other. While I would like to see Kate stop correcting Jon’s grammar and interrupting him, there is no need to be cruel about her wanting to clean her fridge of mold! You all love to judge others but many of you have much in common with her and are too blind and ignorant to admit it because it scares the hell out of you to see who YOU really are. Everyone has their OCDs, she just happens to be brave enough to show us them on tv and for that you chastise her. And her relationships with her friends/family is none of our business. The wedding in Hawaii was for Jon’s family since they couldn’t come to the first- and was meant to be small so don’t take that to mean no one loves them-that is cruel and wrong. You all also need to learn to take what they say in stride- Kate’s comment in the kitchen about all the land being her’s, as far as the eye can see, was clearly a sarcastic comment that was being said only to emphasize her happiness and joy over finally having space to roam free in a safe place they can call their own, not a cramped little house. I hope Jon and Kate never read any of your nasty comments or change because of the ignorant people judging their lifestyle. They are good people doing right by their children and deserve any good that comes to them, money or vacation or whatever. Good for you Jon and Kate!

     I saw the going green episode and it confirmed one thing, money does not equal happiness. Kate looks miserable, and Jon’s vocabulary is that of a teenagers. Kate was so disrespectful to the going green guy that I could hardly watch. I think she was angry because he was promoting his show through hers.
     Kate’s agenda seems to be to separate herself from those kids as much as possible. When stepping off of the lift, Mady tried to hug her and Kate basically rejected her affection. Anytime my kids reach for a hug or a kiss a respond with more affection. Kate and Jon = KON

     I used to really love this show but can no longer stand to watch it. Kate is far too full of herself. Have you noticed their body lanquage when the two of them sit on the couch together? If you look at older shows they are leaning into each other which which means love and affection. They both sit straight forward now and sometimes Kate actually leans AWAY from Jon. The will have to stick it out because they like the lifestyle all the money provides. I just hope they are saving some because I don’t see this show lasting for longer than another year or so. I also think their children are allowed to act like rude spoiled brats. The older ones are also become just a bit too full of themselves for my taste. Classic example of the poor kids coming into money then becoming monsters which no one can stand to be around. Jon and Kate should go back to focusing in just trying to be good parents.

     Think people think! This is not reality, it is scripted to increase ratings and bring in more money for TLC. Kate is scripted to treat Jon like he is a two year old. If you are crazy enough to believe anything you see on tv, then you are fools. The only thing that these people should be ashamed of is that they have basically sold the innocense of their children for trips, and a big house.

     I love the show, but agree that it is not what it was when it started, and it is far from reality! Real people dont live in 6,500 square foot homes. To the person that wondered why they had never shown the pool? Think about it, they have never actually shown a full video of any of the outside of the house.      I don’t know br - , or whatever your name is, when watching the show, I don’t know what’s scripted and what’s not. The cameraman zeroing in on Jon looking at an insurance website, the close-up shots of the Juicy Juice bottles, the gap oufits, the playdoh, etc… I could go on and on.
     This show is nothing more than an infomercial. Something tells me that their 15 minutes are about up, and those kids are going to pay dearly, especially Mady. Kate is a selfish b—-!      Take this show off the air–quit watching until it is gone!!!!!!!!!!!!
     These people are actors, they are playing a role, this is their job which seems to be largely marketing their children. These children are minors who I think should all have lawyers representing them because it does not seem as though their parents are making very wise decisions right now-if they have ever.
     I am now a single mother, have more than eight children, work for a living, live in a small house (1,000 square feet) have a tiny backyard, do not receive free handouts, and live within my means. We do not take elaborate vacations, spendy day trips, have kids in numerous activities that cost a fortune, etc. These parents are living off the fact they have eight children–so what.
     There is no way that two people who do not work can afford to live like they do unless they are doing something illegal–here they are selling their children’s privacy and safety to the world at large.
     Some people enjoy the show but remember they are actors, they know there are cameras and they are being paid. These people need to get a real job.
     You may want to complain about other mothers considering reality shows and their motives but are they any different from this couple????? No way–it is all about the money.

The reason I can comment on Kate’s pretentious ways is because I have kids, and I am a true loving mother. (It takes one to know one). When Kate goes to those churches to speak, she still asks for those love offerings. She needs to use that money for a new hair do. I’m embarrassed for her family

     And another thing that I’ve notice, (pardon my grammar), Kate loves to clean. Not just for the sake of having a sanitized enviornment, she cleans to avoid spending time with these kids. For instance, the episode of the new house, she spends 3 hours cleaning the fridge, and when 2 of the kids need assistance using the potty, she screams for Jon. “Jon, I need your help!” I thought to myself, she could have wiped their hinneys and washed up in about 6 minutes. Jon is so stupid, that he’s probably thinking the same thing as I am, but is too chicken to konfront her. (Get it, Kate+Jon=Kon). She is fooling no one.

I believe they are trying to provide for them just like everyone else would if given the very same opportunities.      i left a comment only once and am new to this. i just want someone to comment on how about a little compassion for the children and the family? is understanding and chritian luv out of vogue now. i really loved watching the show.i watched since the first season. as a stay at home grandma watching my grandchild and having fibromyalgia, i don’t have much energy and i thought kate was inspiring in how hard she worked cooking and cleaning and washing and being concerned for her kids. i learned alot even though i am an experienced mom. i liked how they seem to have a real luving family and jon seemed to really love her. things change and i know what it is to be poor and be rich . i worked hard and my family worked hard for all that we have. i know how certain fo my family memebers think they have a right to the money we worked so hard for and are jelous. i wish they loved each other like they did in the beginning. i think it was the love and committment they had for each other that was so much fun to watch and share in. as a child of divorced parents it is horrible but two people who don’t love each other shouldn’t be together. that is when it gets ugly. i hope they can sharre custody and just love those little cuties to death!!!!!!!~

     The only thing I have to say about Jon and Kate plus 8 is that they did it to them themselves. They successfully had twins and continued to allow a doctor to implant SIX embryos!!! If they weren’t ready to support 8 kids they shouldn’t have chose to have 6 embryos implanted in the first place. They are stupid.      For all that think they know where they moved to it is Wernersville Pa not Nc .

     They live in my town they are my neighbors. They have a tv show in my town and do i aprechate it no i do not.

     I seen many of the comments getting nasty and rude about where they are residing at and if you would google it on the google maps it will show you where it is some of the bloggers have listed the house from remax of reading.

     Some even told the address look it up the pictures on the map will show you.

     They did not buy a their house TLC did for them for 10 more seasons of Jon and Kate plus 8.

     They do not pay for a mortage at all it is a free house Tlc and their property managers pay for it.

     And also the common wealth of pa where i am from is investagating on the multiple complaints yes multiple compants from residents in pa in the local berks county area.

     they have over 2,500 complaints all they tell you over the phone when you call is the mattwer is taken care of we are investagating the matter and as soon as we know the matter will be handled with care in a delicate way.

     The show is a scam no way around it no if’s or buts about it is a scam.suppose to be a innocent documentry is turning out to be a three ring circus.

     Can you believe that people complained to the common wealth of P that is a raw deal.I can believe it can you. Because it is true the complaints are filed and the complaints were made.

     I lived in P all my life and when some one reports matters of this content they make sure they want a piece of that pie they love to see people in trouble in paying fines threw the nose when they break the law.

     i see it how i look at it the show is going down hill fast they screwed up their lives and the kids are the ones paying for it.

     this could be a ploy to be a season finally or the end or a ploy for the viewers to be tuned in to see a family unfolding in the public eye alittle bit of this and alittle bit of that works and toss in a divorce for the side dish of things.

     it is making my town and tourist attraction that i do not want to see or deal with i do not want the media marching in to the food market demanding they get free food because jon and kate get it.

     i do not want to see the stalking piperizzi stalking on our roads to get a glimps of the wanna be rich family that made their money off of their kids.

     they are making my town a laughing stock and that is what really ticks me off.

     this town was a small town with a population of maybe a thousand people now the populations is 2,200 people. they are building developments for homes.my town are buying up farm land to build.

     what drove j&k to our town was there was privcy and no crime since everywhere in berks county is crime heaven.

     the population grows the more it grows the more unpleasent it becomes and having these media frenzy circus freaks in this area makes it worse.
