Country Music Awards: The Details

The Country Music Awards were on last night… not gonna lie, I totally watched them. Actually, I was sitting at a diner with my friend and they had the show on mute (with closed captioning on) and everyone in the place was watching the damn thing… all complaining about how cheesy the lyrics were. Really?! Like, no, seriously… really?? Let’s be honest… how many rap songs sing about losing a chick or having a car stolen… and how many pop/top 40 songs sing about broken hearts… or what about rock and roll?! Good lord, people. Music and music… it’s just got a different beat.

Anyway, the event was star-studded and glamorous just like we’d all expect. Performers included Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift, Keith Urban and more. Mather MaConeughey took time off from being a dad and brought gf, Camila Alves. Jamie Foxx was there as well as LeAnn Rimes (she won the humanitarian award despite being a cheater).
