Madonna’s New Manhattan House

This makes no sense to me at all. Madonna was denied the Malawian adoption of little Mercy because she doesn’t live in the country. The laws say that she must live there for at least 18 months. Her plans include building a girls’ school there with a home on the adjacent property for her and her children.For now, though, Madonna purchased this $40 million (about $5 million less than the asking price, btw) Georgian-style townhouse on East 81st Street. Sources says that she’s desperate to recreate the London feel in NYC. However, the biggest downfall is that you can hear/feel the Lexington Avenue subway while you’re in the house.
