Manolo Blahnik has been designing amazing shoes for over 40 years but he didn’t become a household name until Carrie couldn’t stop buying his shoes in Sex and the City… but he can’t stand the attention and success. Blahnik, 66, is “sick” of seeing his shoes on the cast and is trying desperately to distance his brand from the series and movie. “If people talk to me about Sex and the City, I get sick. The axi drivers recognize me now. It becomes too much and I don’t feel comfortable. I have never wanted to be a celebrity designer.”
