Sherlock Holmes Is Totally Not Gay

Ha ha ha… I heard rumors about Robert Downey Jr’s character, Sherlock Holmes having gay undertones… and when I saw the flick… I kinda believed it (it doesn’t help that Jude Law looks and acts like a girl in the whole thing)… but now there could be property rights issues if Downey doesn’t stop making gay jokes!

Andrea Plunket, who holds the US copyright to Sherlock Holmes is pissed at Downey — “I hope this is just an example of Mr. Downey’s black sense of humor. It would be drastic, but I would withdraw permission for more films to be made if they feel that is a theme they wish to bring out in the future. I am not hostile to homosexuals, but I am to anyone who is not true of the spirit of the books.”

She has basically reached out to Guy Ritchie and let him know that if the gay storyline is what they’re after, they can forget rights to a sequel.
