There were only a few performances at the Oscars… not really the star-studded musical show that was the Grammys. Beyonce, Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens did a medley song with Hugh Jackman that was a tribute to musicals. It was good, but Beyonce stole the show for sure. Oh yea, and the kids from Mama Mia! were there, too.

Heath Ledger has won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in The Dark Knight. His father, mother and sister were there with speeches in hand to accept the award on behalf of his daughter, Matilda, who will receive and own the award statue.

The ladies definitely did their thing this year. Although… I’m not sure how I feel about the mermaid dress thingy that a few of them are sporting… not really a fan. And Beyonce… wtf? Seroiusly? Did you steal my grandmother’s old table cloth? Ugh… Miley looks hot and I hate to admit it. I would totally wear Natalie Portman’s pink dress especially because she’s doing the whole black nail polish thing, which is hot.

I never could understand why it’s called ‘The Oscars’s’ and ‘The Academy Awards’. I mean, it’s the Academy’s awards and I guess the individual awards are called the Oscars… but it makes no sense! Pick a freaking name already. Anyway, here’s some leaked footage of Hugh Jackman’s rehearsals from The Oscars. Some production assistant made and it’s pretty cool.
