Not really a fan of Katherine Heigl… even less of a fan of people who adopt babies to make themselves look better in the public eye. Josh Kelley and Katherine have adopted this cutie pie baby from Korea and they posted pics of her on their website…

Katherine Heigl and Josh Kelley have adopted a 10 month old baby girl from Korea. Katherine and Josh have named their daughter Nancy Leigh and she will go by the nickname Naleigh. She is named after Katherine’s mother Nancy and Katherine’s sister Margaret Leigh. Katherine, Josh and Naleigh are together and doing well.

Elton John was denied the adoption of Baby Lev, a 14-month old HIV-positive child from Ukraine. According to the government, Elton is too old and not married. While Elton and partner David Furnish participated in one of the first legalized gay marriages in Britain, the Ukraine does not recognize their union as legal. Not only that, but the law says the adoptive parents must be no more than 45-years older than the adoptive child… and Elton is 62. “I don’t know how we do that, but he has stolen my heart. And he has stolen David’s heart and it would be wonderful is we can have a home,” John has said. The government issued a statement saying, “Elton John will not be able to adopt a Ukrainian child and if he files tha request we will unfortunately deny it. The law is the same for everybody: for a president, for a minister, for Elton John.”

Mercy arrived in London from Malawi with just enough time to join her new fam for Kabbalah services this weekend. Guy Ritchie even showed up at Madonna’s house to welcome the new addition before taking Rocco and the other adopted member of the family, David, for the weekend. The second most confusing family in show biz is complete now. How freaking adorable.

The high courts in Malawi have approved Madonna’s appeal to adopt 4 year old Mercy. She was denied the adoption because she’s not a resident of the country (adopting parents must reside in the country for at least 18 months). Back when she adopted David, the law was waived for her. Wow… way to put up a freaking resistance, Malawi. Stand by your laws… nice one.

Jennifer Aniston really wants a baby and she’s going to get one like everyone else in Hollywood… she’s adopting. Star Magazine reports that Aniston is seeking help from fellow adopter, Sheryl Crow. “She doesn’t want to wait,” says a friend. “Her best friends all have kids, and Jen sees how much motherhood changed their lives for the best,” says the source. “She’s dying to have that!”

Madonna is not going to be taking home Baby Mercy any time soon. She’s been spending the past week in Malawi trying to rush the process along in any way she can but the country’s high court has rejected her. Judge Esmie Chondo ruled, “I must have to decline to grant the application to Madonna.” According to the documents her request was rejected because adopters must reside in Malawi for anywhere from 1.5 to 2 years prior to adoption. Madonna is expected to appeal. In her mind, she’s totally allowed to take that baby considering it was so easy for her to take David from the same place. Cause, let’s be honest, when you’re Madonna, you should be able to do what you want, right?

Following in the footsteps of everyone in the world, Angelina Jolie is looking to make her family bigger. There’s rumors floating around that she wants to adopt another child, making her kid count up to 7. Back in 2006, Angie and Brad visited an orphanage in Pune, “Brad and Angelina were lovely and adore kids. Every move and every look of the couple was filled with love for our children and we were floored with their genuine affection. It was great excitement not only for our kids but for our staff as well.” Recently, she told Slumdog Millionaire star, Azharuddin Mohammed, “I’ll let you into a little secret- we will soon.” Aww… how freaking cute.

Madonna arrived in Malawi this weekend to finalize the adoption of her new daughter, Mercy (Chifundo James in the local language). Upon arrival, she refused to talk to press, but instead, toured an impoverished school wearing a Chanel tracksuit… that costs upwards of $2,800.

Her adoption has been put on a hold but there are no details at the time. She spent about an hour in court this morning behind closed doors. Local residents and press are calling Madonna and “rich bully.”
