Oh this is classic. Vanilla Ice lives near me… not that this is something to brag about, but I’ve met him a few times and he tries his hardest to distance himself from his old ‘Ice Ice Baby’ image because he hates it. Well, I have to say, not sure how this commercial for South African Lite beer really distances him from that image. Gotta love z-list celebs that’ll do anything for $$.

The Taco Bell Dog Has Died

I’m not sure how many more Hollywood deaths I can honestly handle. The famous ‘You quiero Taco Bell’ Chihuahua has died and I’m very sad. Gidget (yea, the pup was a girl, not a boy like the voice in the commercials suggests) passed Tuesday night from a stroke. She was 15 (which is over 70 in doggy years). Gidget was actually the second Taco Bell dog (she replaced Dinky very early in the campaign) but she also starred along side Reese Witherspoon in Legally Blonde 2 as Bruiser’s mom. My little dog hating heart actually goes out to this puppy purely because she spoke with an accent and delivered the Oscar worthy line, “Here lizard, lizard, lizard…“

I’m kinda over Jon & Kate Plus 8. In fact, I used to be totally into watching it every week on TLC and now I can’t even watch old episodes. Yes… that show is officially one giant FAIL right now. Way to get divorced, effers. Anyway, check out ‘Jon Gosselin’s’ Match.com profile. “I only sit on this side of the couch.” Yup… that’s cause Kate is an uber-b&tch and she probably nazi’ed her way onto the left side.

I feel totally 100% out of it. Bear with me a little bit today… I’m all over the place with interweb issues. Ugh. So Dr. Dre is involved with the new ad campaign for Dr Pepper. He did this prime time commercial that will being airing next week as part of a campaign called, “Trust Me, I’m A Doctor”. The promo also teases Dre’s long awaited Detox album that’s due out this fall.

The T-Mobile ‘Hey Jude’ Sing-a-Long

This apparently is a commercial for T-Mobile. They are claiming that 13,500 people “spontaneously” began singing Hey, Jude in Trafalgar Square (it’s in London, kids). Umm… that $hit was planned. There was nothing spontaneous about this video. Spontaneous would mean someone random person started singing and the crowd grew and grew. Each person was given a freakin’ microphone.

I’ve been in Trafalgar Square before. It was a random Sunday a few years ago. There was a ton of people hanging out… they were trying to break the world record for the largest choreographed dance. Everyone that walked by was taught the dance and then they’d do it until the numbers got large enough to break the record. Is the Square the place to do random things or something?

I have a friend who is ~~mildly~~ super obsessed with Zooey Deschanel. I feel like a lot of boys are. There’s something very ‘girl next door’ about her and guys dig that in a chick. She sings in a lot of her movies and she even has a band called XXXXXXXXX. She re-wrote the cotton jingle and now you can check out a ‘day in the life of Zooey’ in this cotton commercial. How sweet…
