Belle Semi-Mount Diamond Ring -$4,650

Designer Kirstie Kelly began designing a line of wedding gowns inspired by the original Disney Princesses and now Kelly has expanded her line to include a series of amazing engagement and wedding bands branded “Kirstie Kelly for Disney by Mouawad.” The line of rings was shown off for the first time last week at the Intercontinental Barclay Hotel in New York as part of Bridal Fashion Week in NYC.

“It’s different, in the sense that there’s a story behind each princess,” Kelly said.

For example, the ring that was designed based on Belle from 1991’s Beauty and the Beast, features a rose-cut diamond, a play on the enchanted rose that played an important role in the film. It can also be used to hold diamonds of other cuts.

The Disney line, sold as semi-mounts, retail for $1,200 to $6,000.

Captain EO, starring Michael Jackson was a 3-D musical adventure that debuted at Disneyland in September of 1986 and ran until April of 1997. The 17-minute film might make a comeback though, since Disney has received thousands of requests. I saw this 3-D adventure back in the day. I have to say, it was way more interesting than the Honey I Shrunk The Audience 3-D adventure they have running now. A sneezing giant dog is no comparison to the king of pop.

Disney starlet, Selena Gomez, was in Puerto Rico wrapping up a film project when her crackberry was stolen. She was all over Twitter, tweeting away and showing her dismay (maybe we’ll eat some hay? as we sit down by the bay? Sorry, I watched Happy Gilmore last night). Anyway, I’m waiting around to see if there’s any naked pics leaking or phone numbers… that always makes my Friday more fun…

Miley Cyrus hopes that her Hannah Montana character will come back around for a 4th season on the Disney Channel… Disney says they are still considering the option but haven’t confirmed anything. Cyrus has come to terms with the fact that she won’t do her cash-cow character forever — “It’s just an honor for people to be able to relate to me and my music — and not so much the character anymore, I can’t be Hannah Montana forever. I have to have something after this. I can’t do this when I’m 30.” Plus… she’s pretty excited to have some time off, “It’s, like, the first time I’ve seen all my friends in seven months. It’s hard, man. With all the stuff that goes on with this business, I only want to do something if I absolutely love it.”
