Pete Wentz Is So Over Fall Out Boy

Say it isn’t so… or say it is, I’ll still sleep well tonight. Pete Wentz is totally dunzo with the band. He posted this on his web site recently…

As much as i don’t have a solo project, i also can’t predict that i’d ever play in fall out boy again. not due to personal relationships as much as a band we grew apart. in this statement id like to include there is the possibility that fob will play again with out me or i will be a part of it when everyone is on the same page.

it is no ones fault and there is no animosity about the decision… i am the single biggest fan of fob and if this is our legacy than so be it. i am proud of it.

Oh but that’s not the end of it… lead singer Patrick Stump doesn’t really wanna go back to being a band either…

I’m not in Fall Out Boy right now, but one way or another, the band will always be around. Steven Tyler isn’t in Aerosmith anymore, but his gravestone will probably say something about Aerosmith. Whether we play again or not, I don’t know. If we do, it will be for the right reasons. If we don’t, it will also be for the right reasons.

The member of Fall Out Boy must be really really bored while on tour. Pete Wentz peed into one of ten water bottles… all of which he had to sample from during his show. He says he won’t sniff them or anything and that he will try all of them. The weird thing is that he threw them all to the crowd and some unsuspecting young gal got a bottle of Wentz pee. I just hope she didn’t drink it…

Pete Wentz Awkwardly Celebrates

I guess it only took just about forever, but Fall Out Boy’s CD has finally been released. The group went around NYC celebrating with fans… even doing some sort of weird impromptu concert thingy. They got in trouble for not having a permit for the instruments, so they band had fans sing along with them. Pete Wentz pretty much just stood their like an idiot.

Leak: Fall Out Boy ‘Folie a Deux’

Fall Out Boy’s new album, Folie a Deux, was slated to drop on election day… but it didn’t. They postponed the date because the election was a serious matter and should not be mocked. (according to their statement, which you can read in full below. A few of the tracks have leaked and here they are! The new drop date is December 16th. Enjoy…

“Six months ago, we thought it would be a fun idea to release our album on Election Day, but this is not the election to be cute. This is the most important election of our time and, as much as the record is a social commentary and the term ‘folie à deux’ is relevant to the candidates, we felt as though rather than making a commentary, we were only riding the wave of the election. This seemed less and less like what we intended to do and more of a gimmick,” their statement read in part. “While we have all individually expressed our positions on the candidates that we support, we feel that many of the interviews and press for the record have skewed us into a partisan band. We never intended to be the band that shoved our ideas down people’s throats. We only hope people look at the bigger picture and investigate the issues further on their own.”

I was heading out of my office when I got this little familair ‘ding’ from my laptop. ‘Damn’, I thought, ‘…someone does not want my butt to go home.’ I was right. I got an email with this song in it. I had to post it for you because I am the provider of good interweb things. This, my friends, is good interweb things. Fall Out Boy’s new single has leaked. It’s called ‘I Don’t Care’…the album is called ‘Folie a Duex’. Learn more about that craziness here. Keep an eye out, as the songs leak, I will post more…the album drops on Election Day (November 4th, for those of you who don’t vote).
