While performing at Miami’s Fontainebleau Hotel last night (3.11) Joaquin Phoenix attacked a heckler. He yelled at him about having a million dollars in the bank then hurled himself off the stage at the dude. The crowd chanted “Beat him up, beat him up…” and eventually security dragged him out of the club. Not gonna lie… last night was a rough one for me. I think I feel like Joaquin looks.

Natalie Portman and Ben Stiller presented a few awards at the Oscars. Ben Stiller reminded us just how funny he really is when he came out in full on Joaquin costume. He looked great and had the mannerisms down extraordinarily well. Best impression of Joaquin I’ve seen yet…

Alec Baldwin stopped by Late Night with Conan O’Brien and took the opportunity to make fun of Joaquin Pheonix’s appearance on Letterman. I used to think Alec was an idiot, then I started watching 30 Rock and I’m sold — he’s funny. During the second clip, he announced he would like to be the “first talk show guest to be killed off a talk show.” Out came Paulie Walnuts (Tony Sirico) from “The Sopranos,” who then strangled Baldwin and left.

Rumor: Joaquin’s “Meltdown” A Hoax

Rumor’s are floating around that Joaquin Phoenix’s meltdown is fake… part of some weird documentary project that he’s filming with brother-in-law Casey Affleck. He announced a while back (through these old pics of him saying, “Bye. Good” on his hands) that he was moving on from acting and doing to delve into a “music career,” we weren’t expecting this. I kinda feel like he’s playing some over-done un-funny joke on us and I don’t like it one bit. An anonymous source confirmed, “It’s an art project for him. He’s going full out. He probably has told his reps that he’s quit acting. Joaquin is very smart. This is very conscious. He has a huge degree of control.”

We all know that a few months ago, Joaquin Pheonix went berserk for no reason and looks like a homeless dude now. He’s been doing some weird, random club appearances and on this very special ocassion he was on stage rapping (? no idea why?) and he fell. HA! On a side note — I watched Signs this weekend and OMG, I forgot how hot he used to be… hence the old picture of him. Yummy.

Anyway, he was out and about last night looking like he’s been living under a rock - literally. Not only that, but he’s sporting some weird head band thingy. Joaquin Pheonix announced that he will be leaving Hollywood to pursue his music career. Too bad he was too drunk on the red carpet last night to realize that he wrote “Bye! Good” on his hands rather than, “Good Bye!”
