Melanie Griffith has checked into a rehab facility, her rep has confirmed. “She is there to reinforce her commitment to stay healthy. This is part of a routine plan that was designed between her and her doctors years ago.” Ha! I call bull. Rumor has it that she returned because long time hubby Antonio Banderas gave her an ultimatum… “The reason Melanie checked in was her husband was demanding that she get clean and sober,” sources say. “he told her that is she didn’t get the help she needed it would be the end of their marriage.” Another source confirms, “Melanie’s struggling now, but Antonio has been checking in on her as much as he is allowed, making sure she gets back on her feet. Without Antonio in her life, I honestly believe Melanie would be dead.”

Melanie Griffith was looking all sorts of old school while in her husband’s native, Malaga (Spain) over the Easter weekend. Antonio Banderas participated in the Holy Week celebrations by walking in the procession and on Palm Sunday, Antonio took Melanie by the hand as they led a Virgin of the Tears and Favours parade. A newspaper also reported that on Wednesday, Melanie released a symbolic dove from the hotel balcony.
