Lisa Rinna is desperate to reprise her role on the CW’s remake of Melrose Place. She took to the streets with Tonight Show stooge Ross Mathews holding/wearing signs saying “Honk 4 Lisa Rinna On The New Melrose Place.” At one point she got an LA firefighter to pull over and speak with her. The CW’s has said that “there wasn’t a way to bring her back that made sense.” Which just means she’s too old to be sexy and appealing to the new audience…

Ashlee Simpson Joins Melrose Place

Sources at Entertainment Weekly are reporting that Ashlee Simpson is back to work… with Melrose Place. Apparently the show is a shoe-in for the time slot after 90210 on the CW’s Tuesday nights. Simpson “has become the latest tenant of The CW’s refurbished Melrose Place. The onetime 7th Heaven star will play small-town girl Violet, a character whose disarming naiveté masks the calculating, shrewd sex kitten within.” I’ve never seen it… but aren’t all the characters on that show naive with an inner sex kitten or an obnoxious b**ch?
