How mad was Jay-Z when rapper Lil Mama muscled into his duet with Alicia Keys at the MTV Video Music Awards? Though he tried to stay cool onstage, a backstage source tells us, “He went ballistic. He was screaming at the MTV producers about the lack of security. He apparently thought at first she was just a fan. Beyoncé finally calmed him down.”

1. When GAGA came in she was holding hands/being propped up by someone as she walked. She didn’t talk to any of the fans. She was extremely diva like, but in a good way. Instead of being pissed of or offended it was more like people were viewing as an art piece or a rare animal in zoo.
2. Kanye was drunk. When he came into the Hall he was chugging on a handle of what looked like Hennessy. He was mingling with everyone (I cannot stress that enough) and preening for Amber Rose as he passed the bottle around.
3. As apposed to other celebrities when Joe Jackson came in, not one person screamed. Also, very few celebrities said hello or interacted with him.
4. The house band, I really wish I could remember their damn name, said and-I-quote “Is Tila Tequila here? Heh, tell her to go HOME!” The audience reaction, was laughter and cheering.
5. Kanye was taken aside after the Taylor Swift incident by his handler/manager and then MTV exes joined the conversation. Though I cannot say for sure, I would not be surprised if his apology was not heartfelt at all (cough) but in fact mandated from above.
6. Megan Fox is TINY like not just skinny tiny, but shoulder-to-shoulder tiny.
7. Ashley Greene kept pestering security to add someone’s number into her phone. They kept on refusing her, much to her chagrin.
8. The TV feed does not do justice to how much the audience was booing every time Kanye’s name was said.
9. I have not seen the entire TV broadcast but Faye Dunaway was there (wtf?!)Edit:
From a fellow seat filler sitting on the other side of room:
* i can tell u right now that the whole crowd booed kanye A LOT for the rest of the show and i really hope it u can tell on tv
* madonna’s “heartfelt” speech was all read off a teleprompter
* the lead singer from the house band was really obnoxious and annoying
* i dont know how much of the taylor swift clip was shown on tv but after kanye spoke she kinda just stood there for a good 30 seconds speechless and about to cry.
* at the end of the show a bunch of celebs walked right by my friends and i cause we waited to leave: the jacksons, sean kingston, akon, whitney from the hills, some real worlders (i recognized evan and johanna), tracy morgan
* one girl got hit really badly in the face in the pit and i saw her being escorted out with half of her face and eye swollen about double in size.Edit x 2:
- Contrary to how some pictures/video portray, Joe Jackson was not always sitting behind GaGa. If you notice, in the majority of the pictures he is always on the aisle side of the celebrity. That is because during commercial breaks he would run up to them from his spot 20ish rows back (where he spent the majority of the event). He only ran up for the tail end after people peaced.
- When Pete Wentz came in the Hall one of a male seat filler asked where Ashlee was he said Melrose wouldn’t let her take time off.
