McCain Is A Funny Old Guy On SNL

John McCain was on SNL last night. The opening scene involved Tina Fey as Sarah Palin and even his wife Cindy McCain stopped in for a little cameo. He was actually pretty funny… buuuuttt… when you watch the Weekend Update, he looses his sense of humor… or at least his comedic timing. Either way, I really think this did more for his campaign that Barrack Obama’s 30 minute commercial the other night. But what do I know, I’m not political in the least. Oh yea, McCain mentions Heidi Montag (thanks for the reminder, Ryan). Enjoy the show…

Well, they did it. They got Sarah Palin to make an appearance on SNL last night. Tina Fey reprised her role yet again but this time, the real deal showed up and gave her a run for her money. I missed it because I was severely inebriated at Oktoberfest. Good times, good beer, I won a stuffed frog and there were men dressed as women and some cloggers. Awesome. Phelps Is Hosting The SNL Premiere

The Summer Olympics’ outstandingly golden boy, swimmer Michael Phelps, will dive into not-ready-for-primetime television as the guest host of Saturday Night Live’s 33rd season premiere, TVGuide.com has learned.

Airing Sept. 13, the sketch show’s season opener will “reunite” Phelps with musical guest Lil Wayne, the source of the gold-medalist’s pre-swim warm-up tunes.

Phelps, of course, won an Olympic record eight gold medals at the Summer Olympics held earlier this month in Beijing. Hopefully, we’ll get a sketch poking fun at China’s pre-teen female gymnasts. What other Olympic-y topics do you think are ripe for SNL-style skewering?
